It’s not often you get a chance to have a nosey in the backyard of one of Australia’s best-known gardeners, but here it is.
Josh Byrne’s house in Fremantle, WA, is open as part of the Open Gardens Australia scheme on Saturday, May 24, from 10am to 4.30pm.
It’s at 19 Grigg Place, Hilton. Entry is $10 (under-18s free). No need to book.
“Even though this is my fifth private garden to be opened as part of Open Gardens Australia, this is the first one I can truly call my own” Josh says. "This might come as a surprise to some, but all of my gardens up until now have been rentals.”
If you’re in the area, it’s a great opportunity to see for yourself the cutting-edge landscape, building and water management design. If you’re not, have a look at the Josh’s House website instead.
