National Palm and Cycad Show

Saturday 2nd 9am- 4pm, and Sunday 3rd of March, 9am-3pm

Brisabane Botantic Gardens Auditorium, Mount Coot-ha. Cost is $3 per adult, $2 concession. Free parking. This show features an impressive display of a wide range of native and exotic palms and cycads. You can ask the experts, but there are also books, posters, magazines and memberships.Discover 40 or more varieties that can be grown in SE Qld, and consider different varieties of cycads with interesting fronds and cones. Clean Up Australia Day

In 1989 an 'average Australian bloke' had a simple idea to make a difference in his own backyard - Sydney Harbour. This simple idea has now become the nation's largest community-based environmental event, Clean Up Australia Day.
