Permaculture: the musical

It was only a matter of time before ukeleles and hip-hop made the Organic Gardener website, SIMON WEBSTER reports.
We’re always saying here at Organic Gardener, as we sit around dipping our organic biscuits into our organic tea, that someone should write a permaculture hip-hop ukulele musical. And what do you know? Here it is.
What began as a collection of ukulele songs covering David Holmgren’s 12 permaculture principles is being developed into a 90-minute spectacular: Permaculture: A Rhymer’s Manual.
Written and performed by Perth-based musician and permaculturist Charlie Mgee, the musical is an attempt to educate the world about sustainability in song and verse.
You can find out more about how Charlie is turning earthworms into ‘earworms’ (songs that just won’t get out of your head) here.
