Quick and easy to grow, Asian greens are compact plants will thrive in pots or planters on sunny balconies and verandahs.

Likes: A sunny spot with shade from hot afternoon sun; frequent watering.
Dislikes: Hot summer weather. Cover in shade cloth when hot.
When to plant/sow in zone:
How to start: Sow seed direct into soil or start in punnets.
How to grow: Keep moist and feed plants fortnightly with liquid fertiliser.
When to harvest: Pick outer leaves when big enough to eat or whole plants when grown to a good size (6–8 weeks). Pick before they get too big and fibrous.
Pests and diseases: Cabbage white butterfly; aphids.
